About Me

William Daly: Southeastern Pennsylvania, United States; My interest in art goes back to some of my earliest memories when I liked nothing more than sitting at the table in the kitchen drawing with pencils and crayons on the used paper my father brought home from his job. I did my first oil painting at age 12 and since then it has been my medium of choice. I studied fine art at Tyler School of Art in Elkins Park, PA., and learned technique and craft from artists Robert Frame Miller and Stephen Theodore Packyz, whom I spent much time with in the 1990's. I have always been excited by art history and been influenced by many artists over the years, more recently artists such as George Inness, Andrew Wyeth and Richard Estes. I am continually amazed by the beauty wherein God has placed us, and whether it is people, landscapes or structures, I hope my work conveys some of the wonder in the scene portrayed and allows the viewer to relate it to his or her own experience of the world.
